Jonathan Glazer and NAZA: What His Role in the Documentary Is

Jonathan Glazer is an executive producer of NAZA. He did not direct the documentary. The film is directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor and produced by The Guardian and James Wilson/JW Films.

Executive producer, not director

The directing credit belongs to Abraham and Szor. Glazer’s credit is executive producer.

Connection through JW Films

NAZA is produced by The Guardian with James Wilson of JW Films. Glazer and Wilson previously worked together on The Zone of Interest, which helps explain why their names appear together in coverage of the new documentary.

What his credit does not mean

Glazer’s executive producer credit should not be confused with authorship of the documentary’s reporting claims, which are attributed to the directors, interviewees and reporting partners.

October 7 context

NAZA examines the war that followed the Hamas-led October 7 attack. Explore documented footage and evidence from the events that preceded the military campaign.
